2019 NFL MVP Rankings entering Week 8: Where’s Aaron Rodgers?

A quarterback gets 1 MVP point for every victory in which he has a passer rating of 97 or higher; a back or receiver gets 1 MVP point for every victory in which he has 85 or more total yards from scrimmage.

Although one would expect Aaron Rodgers of the 6–1 Packers to be on the list, he has statistically been closer to average than to great in most of his games this season and has just two MVP points so far.

Only players on winning teams are eligible for this list, so players on 4–3 teams may fall out if their teams drop to 4–4. Last week, I limited backs and receivers to those who were in the top 25 of yards from scrimmage; I’ve expanded it to the top 50 and a couple of new names (Kelce, Breida) appear.
