Lesson 157

Into His Presence would I enter now. (ACIM, W-157)

“[W]hat you ask for now is what He wills.” (ACIM, W-157.4:1)

The word that came to my mind today is “alignment.” I desire nothing that would impose obligations or provoke resistance from others. And, God doesn’t want anything from me that creates stress or internal resistance.

It’s liberating to be free from internal conflicts created by social constructs. I’m not here to be loved by others, for my virtues to be admired by them. Instead, I’m here to love them.

To love is to enjoy, and to enjoy is to be in alignment.
