Welcome to Daily Miracles, a running commentary on the 365 lessons of A Course in Miracles, an influential spiritual text from the 1970s. I am James Leroy Wilson and I invite you to join me as I go through this material for the first time.

I am determined to see things differently. (ACIM, W-21)

The exercises for today have been most helpful.

We’ve been set up in past exercises to understand that, say, frustration with “minor” annoyances and anger toward social injustice are the same. Today, by expressing the very desire to see things differently, I do see things differently. At the very least, I’m liberating myself from anger or other bad feelings.

This seems like a major step toward forgiveness. Forgiveness isn’t about what others have done to us, it’s about, well, seeing things differently.
