Welcome to Daily Miracles, a running commentary on the 365 lessons of A Course in Miracles, an influential spiritual text from the 1970s. I am James Leroy Wilson and I invite you to join me as I go through this material for the first time.

The light of the world brings peace to every mind through my forgiveness. (ACIM, W-63)

One thing I did not do today is tell everyone I forgive them. Most people might have thought and said, “For what? What did I ever do to you?”

I’ve been blessed by being treated with kindness by most people throughout my life, but even if I hadn’t, this forgiveness doesn’t need to be expressed out loud unless someone else comes to you and apologizes for something.

The Course isn’t telling us that forgiveness means, “Let’s pretend that never happened.” It’s saying, instead, “That never happened.”

Forgiving someone for lashing out from a place of illusions is like forgiving someone who did something in your dream. In either case, they didn’t hurt you.

By embodying forgiveness, you embody peace, and inspire others to search for that peace.
