NFL MVP Chase Entering Week 15
Jalen hurts the competition.
Welcome to the MVP Chase, where I look for, or chase, the best objective criteria in determining greatness without personal bias.
Today’s topic: NFL MVP Chase
Attention: If you enjoy The MVP Chase and my other writing, I need your support right now to continue.
Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts is pulling away in the MVP Chase. He has nine great games in twelve Eagles victories: a 100 passer rating in eight victories and 100 yards rushing in one other.
Other top contenders have either started losing more often or personally been more pedestrian in their team’s victories, while Hurts keeps having great games and winning week after week.
I’m listing all contenders mathematically alive for the MVP Chase crown (or a share of it).
To earn an MVP point:
- A quarterback must have a 100.0+ passer rating in a win or tie.
- Any back or receiver must have 100+ yards from scrimmage in a win or tie.
Multiple players on the same team can earn an MVP point in the same game.
