Ranking every Super Bowl Quarterback
Where does Mahomes rank?
Welcome to the MVP Chase, where I look for, or chase, the best objective criteria in determining greatness without personal bias.
As a Green Bay Packers fan, it occurred to me that Patrick Mahomes has already had a better career than either Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers, regardless of Sunday’s Super Bowl 57’s outcome.
I was thinking only of Super Bowl appearances. In just six seasons in the NFL, Mahomes has reached the game three times, which is equal to Favre and Rodgers combined in 31 Packer seasons.
Of course, we can’t say that Mahomes has really had a better career overall than those two, but I wonder where Mahomes already ranks among quarterbacks who’ve played in the Super Bowl
I ranked every quarterback who has started the game based on the quality of their career overall. I totaled up:
- The number of seasons the qb was named to the Pro Bowl
- The number of conference championship games he started
- The number of Super Bowl wins he started
