Lesson 49 of A Course in Miracles

God’s Voice speaks to me all through the day. (ACIM, W-49)

The lesson says,

The part that is listening to the Voice for God is calm, always at rest and wholly certain. ²It is really the only part there is. ³The other part is a wild illusion, frantic and distraught, but without reality of any kind. (ACIM, W-49.2:1–3)

For me, the day was quiet. An appointment I had was canceled, the weather was unpleasant, and I had no place to go or deadlines to meet. For me, it was easy to set aside some time and enter into a quiet space.

On days that seem busier, chaotic, or stressful, I should remind myself of this lesson, get out of my reactive thoughts, and listen to that inner voice to regain calm and clarity.
