Welcome to Daily Miracles, a running commentary on the 365 lessons of A Course in Miracles, an influential spiritual text from the 1970s. I am James Leroy Wilson and I invite you to join me as I go through this material for the first time.

Lesson 162

I am as God created me. (ACIM, W-162)

(Before reading the lesson, I noticed that this is a familiar statement, appearing in at least one previous lesson, maybe two or three.)

I am whole and holy. There was never a time when I wasn’t, because what is created is perfect.

Jessa Reed has likened this world to a “first-person shooter” video game. These are games where you are seeing and moving through the eyes of a character, and seeing only what the character sees. (This is in contrast to video games where you see the entire field of play and you move your character/player remotely, such as Pac-Man).

In the first-person game, you might not know what you will discover, where you’ll find the resources you need to continue, and who and when some other character might “attack” you.
